1996 Piewiet 1200

Die Piewiet 1200 wurde für den OSTAR entworfen und gebaut, ist also ein Boot, das für das Aufwindsegeln gemacht ist. Es ist ziemlich schmal für seine Länge, speziell für diesen Zweck. Es ist sehr steif unter Segel mit einem Bleikiel, das laminiert und mit dem Rumpf verschraubt ist. In den Bilgen gibt es keine Lecks.

Der erste Eigner kaufte das Boot neu von der Van de Rest-Werft in Kats, Holland, und baute die Inneneinrichtung zwischen '96 und '98 selbst aus, da er Schreiner war.

Das Boot gehört dem zweiten Eigner, der das Boot seit 9 Jahren besitzt. Alle Rahmen und Regale sind laminiert. Es gibt keine Geräusche im Boot während der Fahrt, außer dem Klang der Wellen. Die Konstruktion ist sehr solide.

Der Architekt Van Der Rest konnte aus Krankheitsgründen nicht an der OSTAR teilnehmen, und die Werft baute 12 Exemplare dieses Rumpfes. Die ersten drei wurden in einem 40-Fuß-Container nach Japan exportiert. Der Grund für die Länge von 11,85 m ist vorteilhaft für Häfen. Das Boot ist steif, schnell, sicher, gemütlich und komfortabel. Es misst 11,85 x 3,45 x 2,00 m und bietet Platz für 7 Personen.

The Piewiet 1200 was designed and built for the OSTAR, so it is a boat made for upwind sailing. It is quite narrow for its length, especially for this purpose. It is very stiff under sail with a leadkeel which is laminated and bolted to the hull. There are no leaks in the bilges.

The first owner bought the boat new from the Van de Rest shipyard in Kats, Holland, and finished the interior himself between '96 and '98 as he was a carpenter.

The boat is form the second owner and he has owned the boat for 9 years. All frames and shelves are laminated. There is no noise in the boat while underway except for the sound of the waves. The construction is very solid.
