Astondoa is one of the main Spanish shipyards. The origins of the company go back to the year 1916 when Jesus Astondoa Martinez began manufacturing boats. His son, Jesus Astondoa Sanataria succeeded him and, nowadays, the company is presided over by Jesus Astondoa Diazo de Ottos, along with his brothers Iñigo and Covadonga, all of them grandsons of the founder. Without losing its identity this manufacturer has evolved and expanded into one of the world’s largest and best known shipbuilders. Throughout its history, Astondoa has manufactured about 3.000 yachts. Their present range includes around twenty models ranging from 40 to 200 feet length and they manufacture an average of 100 yachts each year. From the construction of the hull to the manufacturing of the furniture, the whole of the manufacturing process is carried out at their own facilities.
